scheduling and data collection
applications.
The existing in-house
system has been replaced by the
Technique suite of applications
in order to provide a fully
integrated solution across the
whole business. It enables GI
Direct to collect data from the
shop floor in order to provide
members of the production team
with an up-to-date view of what
is happening on all machines. It
also allows ‘real time’ access
to the scheduling and job status
screens that provide information
on job schedules, work in
progress and stock reports,
enabling GI Direct to offer
clients faster and more accurate
real time information.
Not only is the Technique MIS
suite being used for production
scheduling but GI Direct is also
benefiting from the CRM
functionality offered by the
company management, estimating
and order management modules.
This means GI Direct can access
instant customer and prospect
information including customer
history and current activities,
provide high speed quotations,
and automatically generate order
confirmations and sales
invoices.
